Now in its fourth year, the Executive Public Policy Training Program (EPPTP) is taught and supervised by academics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Columbia University of New York, Sciences Po Paris and Peking University.

Through collaborative interaction between officials from government institutions and faculty members, this program provides Chinese civil servants with an opportunity to develop the additional functional expertise, strategic perspectives, and public policy management tools to operate effectively in a changing public policy environment.

The Global Times interviewed Francis Verillaud, the vice president of Sciences Po Paris and director of international affairs and exchanges at Sciences Po since 1995.

Verillaud is described as the architect of Sciences Po’s growing internationalization, negotiating and helping launch educational and scientific programs such as the dual degrees with the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and LSE.

Before coming to Sciences Po, he held positions in the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs including postings in Washington and Santiago in Chile. He has taught economics classes in
French lycées, at the Universidad Católica de Chile and at Sciences Po. Vérillaud is a graduate in philosophy from Paris University Nanterre and a graduate from Sciences Po Paris.
