Netizens and five Americans engaged in a lively online chat in Xi'an at the office of huanqiu.com.

Four students and a teacher from the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point were in Xi'an to do some volunteer work as members of the Cross-cultural Solutions (CCS) organization.

The transcript of the interview was shown simultaneously on the Chinese website. During the one-hour interview, moderator Shi Jierui from the English-language site engaged her five guests in a discussion covering various topics.

USMA at West Point is known as the oldest of the five service academies in the US. Chinese netizens are interested in the students'studies and lives at West Point, and in turn the five American guests answered their queries.

The four students are Anna York, Jeremy Smith, Eric Bernau, and Razvan Cojocaru. They steered clear from sensitive topics like the military and politics, instead talking about their lives at West Point and their volunteer experiences in China.
